  1. I've been hearing a lot about Pop's Grill in my work for the Matthews Heritage Museum. I've added a note about this post on their Facebook page; perhaps someone will come over here and fill in some of the story about why it is so fondly remembered there.

  2. Thank you for sharing! You cannot imagine my amazement that while looking for old charlotte photos - I came across photo #2 and is my Paw Paw (Robert Elder - owned Elders Supermarket on Monroe Road). I believe this picture was taken at Oakhurst Country Club. Again...thanks
