The Hoot Mon Restaurant
The Hoot Mon was located on the corner of E. 4th and Torrence St. It gets the distinction of being Charlotte's first Scottish restaurant. Little info is available, but it appears to have been in business from the 1950's through the late 1960's.
I remember eating at the Hoot Mon. Just a side note, the ED in the phone number in the ad stands for "Edison" My home phone number started out with EM which stood for "Emerson". Mike S.
