A look at Charlotte, NC restaurants from the past to the present
Really great memories at this place. My fav.... "Nitty Gritty Grinder"
It was a great place, Many fond memories so sad it is gone.
At one time there were 13 White Horse restaurants in the Charlotte area:Eastway, Monroe Road, Matthews, Rockhill, East Blvd., where else ?
Do you know the tuna hoagie they made? It was so good and I’m trying to find a recipe for it.
It was the Charlie O Tuna, My favorite!!
Great open face sandwich called the Charlie ’O Chicken!
I was just telling a friend about The White Horse. My fav was in Dilworth, loved the sandwiches.
Oh no the nitty gritty grinder was the best my brother Ward Eulitt worked there in Dilworth.
